PSC Issues Show Cause Orders to Retail Suppliers

The District of Columbia PSC issued show cause orders to several retail suppliers regarding allegedly unpaid assessments.

The PSC alleged that Glacial Energy of Washington D.C., Inc.; Glacial Natural Gas, Inc.; and Horizon Power and Light each failed to timely pay their assessments related to the Commission's and People's Counsel FY 2014 budgets.

Each supplier was directed to pay the outstanding amount, explain its lateness, and show cause why each's alleged failure to comply with prior assessment orders should not subject the supplier to suspension or revocation of its competitive supplier certification or other action.

Horizon Power and Light informed EnergyChoiceMatters.com that it has issued payment to the D.C. PSC and is awaiting confirmation of receipt.
