PSE&G Corrects Bill Increase Data from BGS Auction
Public Service Electric & Gas said that the total residential electric bill increase starting in June as a result of the recent BGS auction will be 2.1%, stating that the figure of 5.1% previously provided by the utility was based on a calculation error. The listed actual wholesale prices in our February 13 story were correct. Under the new BGS pricing, the bill for a PSE&G residential customer who uses the statewide average of 650 kilowatt-hours per month will pay $123.82 a month, or $2.58 more per month when averaged over the entire year.
