Texas Distributed Generation Provider Seeks Retail Provider License

Electranet Power, LLC applied for an Option 2 Texas retail electric provider certificate to serve customers 1 MW or larger who provide an affidavit agreeing to such service.

According to Texas Secretary of State records, the manager of Electranet Power, LLC is Enchanted Rock, Ltd, a provider of back-up natural gas generation and other distributed services.

Enchanted Rock markets its distributed generation solutions as the "Electranet System" which includes:

• Conventional and renewable Distributed Generation (DG) that operates at or near the point of electric consumption

• Onsite Controls for DG, load management and energy storage

• Aggregation and Deployment Networks that provide sophisticated monitoring, energy grid interface and deployment

Electranet Power's leadership includes various executives at Enchanted Rock

Corey Amthor, Partner and President of Enchanted Rock Ops, LLC, serves as President of Electranet Power. Amthor was previously Vice President, Trading and Risk Management, at Calpine, and has held positions at ConAgra, Dupont/Conoco and Statoil.

David Garcia, Vice President of Market Operations at Enchanted Rock, serves as a Vice President at Electranet Power. Garcia previously held various positions at Reliant and NRG

Scott Grooms, Chief Information Officer at Enchanted Rock, serves as a Vice President at Electranet Power. Grooms has held leadership positions at Spark Energy and Calpine

Electranet had applied for an Option 1 REP certificate in 2013, but later withdrew the application
