Mint Energy announced that it has launched a new component of its sales strategy, with the introduction of offers to smaller commercial and industrial customers made via its website, with online enrollments starting yesterday
Mint Energy’s first online offering is available to commercial and industrial customers in Massachusetts’ National Grid territory that are classified under the G1 business rate class. Mint Energy said that such customers can enroll in a program that includes a fixed electricity rate which Mint said is 30% lower than the corresponding current Basic Service rate. Mint’s rate is 8.9 cents per kWh until the customer’s December meter read. Mint Energy said that National Grid’s G1 Basic Service rate is set at 12.619¢ per kWh until April 30, 2016.
