Breadbasket, LLC applied for FERC market-based rate authority, stating that it, "seeks to become a power marketer, purchasing electricity and reselling it to wholesale and retail customers."

Alegria Fund, LP, a Delaware limited partnership, is the managing member of Breadbasket.

Lawrence R. Smith made the MBR filing on behalf of Breadbasket, LLC. Smith holds or has held leadership positions with power marketers Solea Energy and Ioway Energy

Breadbasket said that it does not own or control any electric generation facilities, transmission facilities, distribution facilities, any natural gas storage, transportation, or distribution facilities, or any other inputs to electric power production. Breadbasket said that it is not an affiliate of any public utility.
