Reliant Bundling Portable Solar Power Kit With New Electricity Plan, Launches "One of a Kind" Media Campaign

Reliant announced a Power on the Go plan for Texas residential customers that includes at no additional charge a Sherpa 50 portable solar power kit

The Sherpa 50 Solar Kit, from Reliant affiliate Goal Zero, is valued at $400 and includes a portable 13-watt solar panel, power pack with 5200mAh battery, and 110v inverter designed to allow charging of laptops, phones, and other devices when away from an outlet.

In the CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric service area, the Power on the Go is a 24-month fixed rate with an average all-in rate (at 1,000 kWh) of 10.4¢/kWh. This reflects a base charge of $5.00 per month, an energy charge of 5.5¢/kWh and CenterPoint TDU charges of $5.47 per month and 3.8779¢/kWh

The product includes a $295 early termination fee

Reliant also launched a new media campaign dubbed "One of a Kind", to showcase different plans and services that cater to Texans from all walks of life.
