PSC Approves New BGE Purchase of Receivables Discount Rates; Residential Electric Discount Approaches 0%; Gas Discount Up Sharply

The Maryland PSC has approved new electric and natural gas purchase of receivables discount rates at Baltimore Gas & Electric, effective June 1, 2016.

For all customer classes except residential, the discount rate calculation results in a negative discount rate, which will be set at 0% consistent with PSC policy.

Baltimore Gas & Electric's new electric POR discount rates, effective June 1, 2016, are as follows:
