Windrose Power & Gas, LLC, a start-up retail supplier whose formation was first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com earlier this year (click here for background), has amended its Texas REP application and is no longer seeking to use the trade name Tex-Power in Texas

The use of the Tex-Power trade name had been protested by StarTex Power.

In addition to deleting Tex-Power from its sought trade names, Windrose Power & Gas, LLC also said that it is withdrawing at this time its request to use the assumed names Windrose Energy and Windrose Retail Energy.

"In the interests of advancing consideration of our application in a timely manner, and pursuant to Substantive Rule §25.107(c)(4), we hereby notify the PUCT of a material change to our pending application: we withdraw at this time our request to use assumed names 'Windrose Energy,' 'Windrose Retail Energy,' and 'Tex-Power,'" Windrose Power & Gas, LLC said
