Texas Staff File Proposed Level for 2017 Interest Rates Applicable to Deposits Held By REPs, Overbillings

Staff of the Public Utility of Texas have filed proposed levels for the 2017 interest rates applicable to retail electric provider deposits and overbillings

Per the formula prescribed by statute and rule, Staff proposes to set the interest rate for calendar year 2017 on deposits held by REPs at 0.42 percent. The rate currently in effect is 0.11 percent.

Staff proposes to set the interest rate for calendar year 2017 overbillings and certain underbillings by a REP at 0.58 percent. The rate currently in effect is 0.18 percent.
