Regulator Approves New POR Discount Rates

The Massachusetts DPU has approved, effective December 1, 2016, new purchase of receivables (POR) discount rates at Fitchburg Gas & Electric (Unitil)

Fitchburg Gas & Electric's new POR discount rates, known as Standard Complete Billing Percentages, adopted by the DPU are as follows:

Residential
Uncollectible       4.91%
Administrative     -0.07%
Total               4.83%



Small/Regular General Service
Uncollectible       1.28%
Administrative     -0.07%
Total               1.21%

The current Unitil POR discounts are 5.16% for the Residential class and 1.96% for the Small & Regular General classes.
