Oncor reported that as of 4 pm CST on January 1, 2017, it had received $991,000 in reimbursement requests for December device distributions, leaving only $25,000 in funding remaining, pursuant to the program under which retail electric providers are reimbursed for providing free programmable communicating thermostats and in-home displays (collectively, in-home devices) to low-income customers

EnergyChoiceMatters.com previously reported that it was expected that all remaining funds available under the program, which stood at $1 million as of December 15, would be exhausted with the payment of reimbursement requests for December device distributions (paid in January)
