Texas PUC Adopts New Interest Rates Applicable to Deposits Held By REPs, Overcharges

The Public Utility Commission of Texas adopted new interest rates applicable to REP deposits and over-billings, consistent with the calculations set forth by rule

The interest rate for calendar-year 2018 on deposits held by REPs will be 0.91 percent. The current interest rate for this provision for 2017 is 0.42 percent.

The interest rate for calendar-year 2018 for overbillings and certain underbillings by a REP will be 1.05 percent. The current interest rate for this provision for 2017 is 0.58 percent.
