Declining Pennsylvania Residential Electric Shopping Sees Marginal Improvement In November

Pennsylvania saw a marginally lower decline in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply statewide from late October to late November, as compared to recent monthly declines.

From late October to late November (reporting date varies slightly by utility), Pennsylvania saw the aggregate number of residential electric customers on competitive supply statewide decrease by 7,200 accounts. That's marginally down from the net decline of 8,500 customers from late September to late October

Duquesne Light was the only EDC of the seven large EDCs to see a net increase in residential electric shopping from late October to late November

The change in the number of residential customers on competitive supply at each large utility from late October 2018 to late November 2018 (reporting date varies slightly by utility) was:
