Affiliate of Texas Retail Provider Seeks Aggregator License

Interactive Energy Group LLC, a unit of Just Energy, applied for a Texas electric aggregator certificate to serve commercial customers.

Interactive Energy Group (IEG) said in its application, "Once approved as an aggregator, for Texas customers, IEG will disclose to its REP partners and current or potential end-use customers the following: 'IEG is owned by Just Energy Group, the parent company of four certified retail electric providers in Texas: Hudson Energy Services, LLC, Just Energy Texas LP, Fulcrum Retail Energy LLC dba Amigo Energy and Tara Energy, LLC 'Retail Energy Provider (REP) partners'. IEG currently has agreements to broker/sell on behalf of Hudson Energy, TXU Energy, Direct Energy, Reliant Energy, Constellation Energy, Cirro Energy, Ambit Energy, Engie Resources, Green Mountain Energy, Liberty Power, MP2, and Crius Energy. IEG does not grant preference to any entity over the other in its evaluation for services from its REP partners. IEG is an independent, unbiased consulting firm with a wide range of products and services. As part of IEG's services IEG may recommend services from one of its REP partners, though our REP partners are not receiving an advantage in our independent, unbiased analysis."
