Exelon's Broker Breakerbox Moves To Serve Residential Customers

Breakerbox, LLC, Exelon's energy broker/consultant, has filed an amended broker registration at the Texas PUC, with the stated purpose of the amendment listed as, "To add serving residential customers."

Although Breakerbox filed the Texas registration amendment, it does not necessarily mean Breakerbox will serve residential customers and/or offer service to such customers itself (it may have filed the amendment to reflect a potential practice of redirecting residential accounts to another broker)

Breakerbox is already licensed to serve residential customers in certain of its Northeast markets, but not all of them

As previously reported, Breakerbox is to be included in Exelon's spin-off of its competitive generation and retail supplier businesses into a separate company
