Bulb US LLC and Bulb Energy US Inc. have each applied at FERC for electricity market-based rate authority.

Although the FERC MBR applications do not explicitly state that the intent of the applications is to support any potential retail electricity business of Bulb in a FERC-jurisdictional market, retail suppliers typically seek MBR authority due to balancing wholesale sales which are a customary part of serving load.
