Among other things, the DPUC asked that ResCom describe, "[a]ny arrangements with other suppliers to waive (e.g., company-to-company or as professional courtesy) early termination fees that might apply," due to the erroneous enrollments.
The DPUC further directed ResCom to describe, "any recourse ResCom may have against either EDI provider involved in the switching error."
The Department also requested that ResCom explain why ResCom delayed notifying the Department of the error until April 18, 2011, when it was apparent on April 15 that UI could not stop the enrollments, and ResCom submitted drop requests for the enrollments as early as April 14.
ResCom was directed to comment on what role UI may have in facilitating accurate billing and usage information for affected customers, where necessary.
