Horizon Power and Light reported its customer count in filing a response at the District of Columbia PSC to concerns raised by the Office of People's Counsel.

"Horizon serves approximately 7,000 customers in three jurisdictions," Horizon said in the filing. Attached sales contracts and scripts confirm that two of these jurisdictions are Maryland and Washington D.C.; the third jurisdiction was not immediately clear.

Furthermore, Horizon said that it serves about 2,600 District of Columbia customers, in noting that it only had eight customer complaints referred to it by the PSC in 2011.

As to the concerns raised by OPC (see 11/22), Horizon agreed to provide the PSC with 30 days prior notice prior to restarting customer solicitations in D.C. Additionally, for the next six months, Horizon offered to provide the PSC and OPC with randomly selected samples of recorded sales calls and voice verification recordings.

Horizon also provided a sworn statement from an officer attesting to the accuracy of its sales scripts and TPVs provided to the PSC.
