The Illinois Commerce Commission granted AEP Retail Energy Partners LLC an alternative retail electric supplier license to serve all customer classes at Commonwealth Edison Company, Ameren Illinois, MidAmerican Energy Company, and Mt. Carmel Public Utility Company. The application was first reported in Matters (11/4).

Verde Energy USA Ohio, LLC applied for an Ohio electric supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. Verde Energy currently serves over 185,000 customers.
