Frontier Utilities to Pay $28,500 to Settle PUCT Staff Compliance Audit

Frontier Utilities Inc. would pay $28,500 under a settlement with PUCT Staff to resolve allegations that Frontier Utilities was not in full compliance with 15 provisions of the Substantive Rules (39981).

The allegations resulted from a Staff compliance audit.

Specifically, Staff alleged that Frontier was not in full compliance with the following:

- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.475(f)(2)(A), relating to pricing and payment arrangements on the Terms of Service (TOS). Staff alleged that Frontier did not list all non-recurring fees on each TOS.

- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.475(g)(2)(F)(iii), relating to pricing disclosures on the Electricity Facts Label (EFL). Staff alleged that Frontier's EFL did not include required language regarding pricing.

- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.479(c)(1)(H), relating to bill content. Staff alleged that Frontier did not use the required term to represent current charges on its bill.

- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.479(c)(3), relating to bill content. Staff alleged that Frontier's website definitions of charge terms do not match the definitions required by the rule.

Prior to settlement, Frontier corrected all of the alleged deficiencies
