Texas Switch Holds Decline in Three Areas, Up Slightly at Oncor

The number of switch holds applicable to residential customers in ERCOT as part of entering into a deferred payment plan declined in three territories during Match, but saw a small increase at Oncor.
A monthly snapshot of the current number of residential ESI IDs subject to a switch hold from June 2011 through March 2012 is available here.
During March, Oncor saw the number of residential ESI IDs subject to a switch hold increase by 341 to 21,452, following the February increase of 76. The percent of residential ESI IDs subject to a switch hold at Oncor remains only 0.79%.
CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric saw the number of residential ESI IDs subject to a switch hold decrease by about 550 to 12,600, or 0.66% of residential ESI IDs.
Both AEP Texas Central and AEP Texas North saw declines in the number of residential ESI IDs subject to a switch hold as well.
Texas-New Mexico Power saw a marginal increase of 20 residential ESI IDs subject to a switch hold.
Overall, switch holds still apply to less than 1% of residential ESI IDs in ERCOT since the introduction of switch holds in June 2011.
