Nooruddin Investments, LLC d/b/a Discount Power would pay $7,000 under a settlement with PUCT Staff to resolve allegations that Discount Power was not in full compliance with six provisions of the Substantive Rules (40402).

The allegations resulted from a Staff compliance audit.

Specifically, Staff alleged that Discount Power was not in full compliance with the following:

- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.475(c)(1)(A), relating to general disclosure requirements. Staff alleged that the company's EFL included average pricing for 1000 kWh which was based on a bonus for customers who used exactly 1000 kWh for a billing cycle.

- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.479(b)(4), relating to frequency and delivery of bills. Staff alleged that the company charged a fee for certain customers who wish to have standard billing sent via U.S. mail.

- P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.479(c)(1)(I), relating to bill content. Staff alleged that the company cited an incorrect average price calculation on its billing.

Prior to settlement, Discount Power corrected all of the alleged deficiencies
