Vanguard Energy Services Receives Authority to Market in New Territories

The Illinois Commerce Commission granted Vanguard Energy Services, LLC an expanded alternative natural gas supplier license to serve small commercial customers at North Shore Gas and Ameren. Vanguard Energy Services was previously authorized to serve small commercial customers at Nicor and Peoples Gas. Vanguard does not intend to supply residential customers. The application for the expanded license was first reported in Matters.

TopSource LLC, Arm of Supermarket Procurement Co-op, Receives New License

The Illinois Commerce Commission granted TopSource LLC an electric agent, broker, and consultant license. As first reported by Matters, TopSource is the not-for-resale procurement arm of grocer cooperative Topco Associates LLC, and is in the process of expanding into the procurement of competitive electricity in several states. Members of Topco Associates with Illinois operations include Hy-Vee, Meijer, Piggly Wiggly Midwest LLC, Roundy's Supermarkets Inc. (Mariano's Fresh Market), Schnuck Markets Inc., and distributors Affiliated Foods Midwest, Amber Pharmacy, Certco Inc., Laurel Grocery Company.

Power Target LLC Receives New License

The Illinois Commerce Commission granted Power Target LLC an electric agent, broker, and consultant license. The application was first reported by Matters. As previously reported, Power Target, LLC has launched an online brokering website and platform designed to be integrated into existing, third-party websites.

UGI Energy Services Makes Filings Related to New Trade Name

UGI Energy Services Inc. has formally notified regulators in Maryland and the District of Columbia of its new trade name UGI EnergyLink. The new trade name had been first reported in Matters.
