Stream Energy is to expand its retail electric marketing to New York.
Stream Energy New York, LLC is listed as being EDI certified in New York as of July 12, and yesterday submitted an application for FERC market-based rate authority.
In its FERC application for market-based rate authority, Stream Energy New York confirms that it, "intends to operate and sell electric energy as a retail electric provider in states that provide for retail choice and in the State of New York specifically."
As only reported by Matters, Stream Energy recently announced it would expand its residential energy service business to a sixth state by the end of 2012. Stream has not confirmed whether New York is this sixth state.
