Texas Staff, Glacial Energy of Texas, Inc. Report "Significant Progress" Toward Settlement of Revocation Petition

Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas and Glacial Energy of Texas, Inc. jointly filed the following joint status report concerning Staff's petition to revoke Glacial Energy of Texas, Inc.'s retail electric provider certificate (click here for background):

"The Parties have made significant progress towards settlement of this matter, however an agreement has not been reached regarding all contested issues at this time. The Parties believe that further negotiations will be fruitful and may result in a resolution of this matter entirely, or in part. Thus, the Parties are requesting a third extension of the current procedural schedule in order to continue settlement negotiations."

The parties asked for an abatement of the current procedural schedule, and said that they will apprise the ALJ of the status of settlement negotiations not later than January 7, 2012.
