Independence Energy Now Marketing Gas Supplied by Infinite, Vista; Brokered by Diversegy

Network marketer Independence Energy is now marketing residential natural gas supply in four states, with Diversegy brokering the supply and Infinite Energy and Vista Energy among the suppliers of the offers

Specifically, Independence Energy is now marketing residential natural gas supply in New Jersey, Georgia, Illinois, and California. Independence Energy's intent to launch in these four states had been first reported by Matters.

Additionally, a launch of natural gas service in Ohio, New York, and Pennsylvania is expected in the near future.

Independence Energy is a unit of NRG Energy.

In New Jersey, Independence Energy is offering natural gas at Public Service Electric & Gas, South Jersey Gas, New Jersey Natural Gas, and Elizabethtown Gas, with such gas brokered by Diversegy and supplied by Infinite Energy

At PSE&G, Independence Energy's residential offers are currently as follows:

• Variable: $0.6790 per Therm

• 6 Months Fixed: $0.569 per Therm

• 12 Months Fixed: $0.649 per Therm

• 24 Months Fixed: $0.659 per Therm

• 36 Months Fixed: $0.669 per Therm

• 60 Months Fixed: $0.689 per Therm

In Georgia, Independence Energy is offering natural gas at Atlanta Gas Light, with such gas brokered by Diversegy and supplied by Infinite Energy

At AGL, Independence Energy's residential offers are currently as follows:

• Variable: $0.9960 per Therm

• 6 Months Fixed: $0.6290 per Therm

• 12 Months Fixed: $0.5890 per Therm

• 24 Months Fixed: $0.7490 per Therm

• 36 Months Fixed: $0.7590 per Therm

The Georgia products may include a "customer service fee" which ranges from $3.95 to $7.95 depending on credit check.

In Illinois, Independence Energy is offering natural gas at Nicor, with such gas brokered by Diversegy and supplied by Vista Energy.

At Nicor, Independence Energy's residential offers are currently as follows:

• Variable: $0.4050 per Therm plus $2.99 monthly fee

• 12 Months Fixed: $0.4850 per Therm

• 24 Months Fixed: $0.5100 per Therm

The fixed plans include a $50 early termination fee.

In addition to the variable rate listed above, Independence Energy offers a "free month" variable rate at Nicor under which the customer earns a free month of gas supply (calculated using average usage) after 12 months of service. The current variable rate for that plan is $0.4490 per Therm plus a $2.99 monthly fee.

In California, Independence Energy is offering natural gas at Pacific Gas & Electric, with such gas brokered by Diversegy and supplied by Vista Energy

At PG&E, Independence Energy's residential offers are currently as follows:

• Variable: $0.4140 per Therm plus $0.10/day gas supply management fee

• 3 Months Fixed: $0.4950 per Therm

• 6 Months Fixed: $0.5100 per Therm

• 12 Months Fixed: $0.5250 per Therm

The fixed plans include a $50 early termination fee.

In addition to the variable rate listed above, Independence Energy offers a "free month" variable rate under which the customer earns a free month of gas supply (calculated using average usage) after 12 months of service. The current variable rate for that plan is $0.4590 per Therm plus a $0.10/day gas supply management fee
