Constellation NewEnergy, Inc. has launched residential electric service at Duke Energy Ohio.
Constellation is offering residential customers a 12-month fixed rate of 5.59 cents per kilowatt-hour.
The product includes an early termination fee of $25, which is waived if cancelled within 90 days of enrollment.
New customers will be eligible to receive a $25 Visa gift card.
Constellation is supporting the launch with a direct mail campaign, as well as a team of independent sales representatives which will visit neighborhoods and offer to speak to customers in person.
To enhance the value to customers, Constellation said that later this summer it plans to introduce in the Duke Energy Ohio market a dual fuel option that will allow customers to shop with Constellation for both electricity and natural gas supply.
As first reported by Matters, Constellation previously launched electric service at the FirstEnergy Ohio utilities.
