Start-up Retail Supplier Led by Constellation Vets, Which Shares Exec With Spark Energy, Launches Service

Bargain Energy, LLC, a start-up retail supplier, has begun offering retail electric service.

Specifically, Bargain Energy, LLC is now offering electric service at PPL in Pennsylvania.

At PPL, Bargain Energy is offering residential customers a monthly variable rate currently priced a 6.85¢/kWh. According to PA Power Switch, there is also a monthly fee of $6.99.

As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com this summer, at the time of its application, Bargain Energy, LLC's sole member was Retailco, LLC. According to Texas Secretary of State records, W. Keith Maxwell III is a member and CEO of Retailco, LLC. Maxwell is also CEO and founder of Spark Energy.

Maxwell was also listed as CEO of Bargain Energy on its Pennsylvania application.

Derrick Parkhill serves as President of Bargain Energy. Parkhill was previously Vice President of ERCOT Portfolio Management for Constellation Energy, and previously held positions at Entergy Solutions and Amerex Bandwidth.

Patrick Meyers serves as Executive Vice President of Bargain Energy. Meyers was previously Director of Sales at Constellation Energy and previously held positions at Tara Energy and Enron.
