The following story is brought free of charge to readers by EC Infosystems, the exclusive EDI provider of EnergyChoiceMatters.com
Through a default order, the Public Utility Commission of Texas issued an order revoking the electricity broker registration of RES Nation, LLC, granting a petition from PUC Staff
Staff had alleged that RES Nation, LLC failed to respond to informal complaints in the timeline required by rule, and failed to update the PUC concerning the termination of its registration to conduct business in Texas at the Texas Secretary of State. Specifically, Staff alleged that RES had filed a certificate of termination at the Texas Secretary of State which had the effect of voluntarily terminating RES's registration to conduct business in Texas
RES Nation, LLC did not submit any response to a Notice of Violation issued by the PUC
Given this lack of response, the PUC granted Staff's motion for a default order, and revoked RES Nation, LLC's Texas broker registration
The revocation is believed to be the first revocation of a broker registration in Texas
