A retail supplier is returning a book of customers to default service, if customers do not select an alternative supplier prior to the unwind of the supplier's business.

Specifically, Your Energy Holdings, LLC has informed its natural gas customers that Your Energy is ending its obligations relating to its gas sales agreement with customers. Your Energy will be returning customers to the utility’s applicable natural gas tariffed supply service and informed customers that, if desired, customers are also free to choose a new supplier.

Your Energy informed natural gas customers that their account is estimated to be dropped to the utility on the next available meter reading beyond 30 days of the date of customer notification of the transfer. A notification letter was sent to customers the week of April 29, 2013, regarding the transfer.

EnergyChoiceMatters.com first reported last month that Your Energy Holdings, LLC, which was focused on serving residential customers, had decided to unwind its residential business. Your Energy Holdings, LLC was a new business line launched by Noble Americas Gas & Power Corp. to serve the residential market in 2012.

Noble Americas had told Matters that it is unwinding the Your Energy Holdings residential business due to a change in strategy. The unwind of the residential-focused Your Energy Holdings, LLC has no impact on Noble Americas Energy Solutions LLC, a distinct retail supply company which will continue to serve commercial, industrial, and other non-residential customers under its distinct licenses.
